My PhD has progressed in two parts: firstly characterising a PKB specific inhibitor for use
in defining the role of PKB in insulin signalling and secondly investigating fatty acid
induced inflammation and associated insulin resistance in skeletal muscle.
Prior to starting my PhD I obtained my BSc Hons in Pharmacology here in Dundee in 2006.
