I completed my Ph.D. at the School of Tropical Medicine in Liverpool where I looked
at arboviral interactions with the host cell using RNAi techniques.  Prior to this I did
my undergraduate in microbiology at Nottingham University.  My projects here involved
firstly looking at the Tubby protein and its role in adipocyte differentiation and
secondly looking the role of the atypical PKCs in insulin resistance in muscle cells.
