PhD Study

There are many reasons why one would want to do a PhD in the School of Life Sciences at Dundee. More than 900 staff and research students representing no fewer than 62 different nationalities provides a genuinely global research environment in the heart of Scotland. Students in the School receive a great deal of support from their peers and via the PhD student association (PiCLS). We offer a range of different programmes; some involve rotation projects whilst others are focused on a single research area. In all cases the programme is structured to maximise effective guidance and mentoring, in addition to providing a basis for optimally matching students' interests with cutting edge research.

If you are interested in learning of opportunities in the Hundal lab as well as those in other labs within the School of Life Sciences, of funding schemes, eligibility and how to apply to our post graduate research programme then visit our School PhD Programme page by following the link via the Apply button above.

I am always keen to hear from talented and motivated scientists who want to join the laboratory to carry out post doctoral research, but presently can only consider applications from researchers bringing their own funding or willing to mount competitive fellowship applications.  Interested candidates should contact Hari Hundal and include a CV and summary of research interests along with contact details of two professional referees. Please use the contact link to make any enquires.
